Black Rock Accounting & Consulting is led by Michael Prete, a Controller/CFO-level accountant with over 15 years of accounting experience. With a strong background in operations and financial management, Mr. Prete has the know-how and hands on, real world experience it takes to successfully run an organization.
Black Rock Accounting & Consulting was formed after years of assisting small businesses in varying capacities. After helping create and manage numerous start-up companies, Mr. Prete realized their needs for strong, experienced financial management outweighed their ability to pay for that experience. From that point, he has been focused on the challenges and opportunities created by working as a controller part-time for small organizations. His experience managing finance and operations duties has freed up numerous small business executives to more effectively run their businesses.
Mr. Prete is a graduate from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland with degrees in Accounting and Marketing. He also is an Enrolled Agent (EA) and is enrolled to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
